What we do

• We regularly consult with the local Black and ethnic minority voluntary / community sector on Black and ethnic minority communities' health and social care needs.
• We support the local BME voluntary / community sector as well as Black and ethnic minority communities, in getting involved and having a real voice in health and social care planning in Newham.
• We provide capacity building support to enable Black and ethnic minority voluntary / community groups to deliver health and social care services for Black and ethnic minority communities in Newham.
• We provide capacity building support to local Black and ethnic minority service users as well as their carers.
• We produce a quarterly newsletter called the Forum Link that has information on local health and social care initiatives and events, as well as funding opportunities.

If you're a Black and ethnic minority worker within the Newham voluntary/community sector we can provide you with the following:

• Regular information on health and social care issues and consultation events.
• A quarterly issue of the Forum Link Newsletter.
• Support to get involved and have a real voice in health and social care planning.
• Capacity building support for your project if it supports local Black and ethnic minority communities.
• Individual capacity building support to enhance your existing skills.
• Networking opportunities with other Black and ethnic minority workers within the sector.

Or if you are a Black and ethnic minority individual with a health and social care need or you are a carer, we can provide you with the following:

• Regular information on health and social care issues and consultation events.
• A quarterly issue of the Forum Link Newsletter and a copy of the East London Self Help Network Newsletter.
• Support and training to get involved and have a real voice in health and social care planning.
• Capacity Building support to your group if you are part of a self help group.
• Networking opportunities with other Black and ethnic minority service users and carers living in the London Borough of Newham.
